@virtualoberheim As proud owner of an OB-8 that is capable of Layer/Splitting patches, I would need to run at least two instances of OPXPRO2 to be able to recreate Layered Patches that I have programmed on the OB-8. So, yes, there is a need to run multiple instances of OPX Pro 2 at the sametime on a Receptor.
Thanks for the reply.

How many instances of OPX Pro2 can you run simutaneously before performance starts to be effected and Receptor crashes?
Please post a video with multiple instances of OPX PRO2 running.

@1980sCoverband The Receptor used in this video is only the cheap basic model which can't handle multiple instances of very demanding VA synths like OP-X PRO-II at low latencies; but of course it works for lighter ones like OP-X standard; for multiple instances layering better get a Receptor 2+ Pro Max which can handle this; but in fact there's no need for this since you normally anyway play only one va sound at once

@virtualoberheim "...in fact there's no need [for multiple instances of OPXPRO-ll] since you normally anyway play only one VA sound at once."
Not quite a true statement. An OB-8 can do Splits and Doubles. Therefore, if I'd like to recreate those splits/double patches on the OPX, then I would need to the receptor to handle two (2) instances of OPXPRO-ll.
Though, I would love to be able to run at least 4 OPX-PRO-ll's if possible...if you think the Receptor 2+ Pro Max can handle it.

@1980sCoverband I think a Pro Max should be able to handle this, np; but you may ask Pro Max users in the Receptor support forum (KVR) about it or contact Muse Research directly to go sure

Does the ARPEGGIO automatic start playing as soon as the Patch is recalled--or does the ARP wait until a key is played?

@1980sCoverband It only starts to arpeggiate when a key is played of course and will only arpeggiate as long as keys are hold down; but you also can apply arpeggio hold either from the dedicated parameter, or - which is very handy - by quickly depressing and releasing again the damper pedal (time filter) for hands free operation
