FINAL VIDEO CLIP BEFORE MY CAMERA BATTERY DIED FOR GOOD
Now the managers at the Shanghai Xiandao Cafe that charged over $3200 US for drinks & snacks to my Chase Sapphire Visa (who are siding with them that the amount is legitimate)seem to get desperate. Apparently indicating ties to a brothel, he tells me he can find me an escort to keep me happy if i will just keep quiet about all this. I tell him repeatedly NO THANKS and make clear: I WANT MY MONEY BACK. He declines. I then tell him that ive informed Chase Visa about this charge, and tell him they will deny it.
Yet here it turns out is where i was mistaken...and this is the most stunning twist of all. I have been a Chase cardmember for over 10 years, have always paid my full balance diligently, and until now NEVER disputed a charge. My available balance was not even enough to cover this charge at the time it was made. Yet Chase is UPHOLDING THIS AS VALID, AND INSISTING I MUST PAY IT OR THEY WILL RUIN MY CREDIT. Recently they even offered to credit me a measly $500 if i would accept those terms! I told them to put that $500 where the sun dont shine. So im posting these clips to warn others of the Shanghai Xiandao Cafe and how they treat foreign guests, as well as show everyone the quality of the Chase Sapphire Visa fraud dispute team. Write comments if you have any advice or have had similar experiences in Shanghai China.
P.S. Did i mention that this was the Shanghai Xiandao Cafe and that Chase Sapphire Visa is upholding their right to rip off tourists for over $3200?
Its unfortunate this happened to you, unfortunately there are countless scammers and scams in China targeting foreign, especially western caucasian visitors so you must really be careful, its better to not use a credit card in restaurants in China.
Were you approached by a woman as this is a common scam when a woman tries to get you to go to a cafe and the same thing happens. Did you go to the police? probably nothing would happen but it is worth a try, good try going back to them though!
