On June 3rd, 2011 Denver artist John Fellows held his first solo show, Upon Some Distant Shore, at The Black Book Gallery. John displayed pieces of varying sizes which showcased his unique style of combining Linocut printing on old found books and paper. His artwork is self-described as contemporary folk, but his idiosyncratic methods transcend any genre and stand alone.

John is also a freelance graphic designer, having designed work for skateboard companies, ski resorts and even the American Cancer Society. The multi-talented Fellows has already made an indelible mark in the Denver and worldwide art scene with an attention to detail and techniques that are distinctively his. The show was a great success and thanks to all who turned out.
