NEVER HAD AN ORDINARY DAY

Never had an ordinary day,
never lived your life in an ordinary way.
For everything you loved you paid a price
but you couldn´t let the world see you cry.
Never had a moment of peace,
never felt the sun light when the worries set you free.
Every time your life turned a page
seemed like your heart might break.

With the world on your shoulders,
when the nights had grown colder,
you seemed to weather every storm with a queens grace.
When you lost your husband when you buried your children,
I´m sure the angels stood in reverence as you prayed.
How much can one heart take?
How much can one heart take?

Never had a day to call your own
so many needed your warm heart as a home,
whispering a mother´s lullaby
as you sat alone by the fire

I´m sure your heart breaks when some people still say,
somewhere down the line you lost your faith.
How much can one heart take?
How much can one heart take?

  • I Love this Song.

Emma Smith was an Amazing Woman.

    I Love being a LDS.

  • A lot of lives were lost over the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ & over the Book of Mormon. Nobody would do this for self glory and risk the lives of their wife & children. The book of Mormon is true word of God and I know it in my heart.

  • i LOVE Emma :)

  • The video is completely wrong for the song. The song talks about the hardships and depressive life Emma had to suffer through, yet the church tries to make a pretty picture out of it.

  • The title to this is wrong.. This song is from the "Joseph: A Nashville Tribute to the Prophet" album, this video has two parts, the narrative "Emma Narration" and the song is called "Emma". The movie is called "Emma". Doesn't look like iTunes has this song.. But you can buy the CD or MP3's from nashvilletributeband website.

  • why can I not find this song on itunes? any ideas where I could go to download it??

  • emma smith i have to admit was a very brave faithful woman, although i dont really believe in modern day prophets the BOM or Joseph Smith. I wonder why imstill a mormon?

  • really love so much this song!!!!!

  • Emma Smith reminds us that blessings come in many forms. I love you Emma. Thank you for your example of Christlike patience.

  • "Remember the captivity of your fathers..." -Alma the Younger

  • this makes me cry

  • <3 I feel the spirit every time I listen to this, and each time I hear it, it strengthens my testimony even more! it always ends up making me cry! Emma Smith is so amazing as is Joseph Smith! I feel so blessed to be LDS and I know with everything inside me that the LDS church is true. oh if anyone was still wondering the band is Due West, the album name is a Nashville Tribute to the Prophet. :)
