  • its a visuislation disability with numerical concepts and the way they are organized. this fortunately has nothing with inteligence.

  • @pizzasuits I think there is definitely a visual aspect of it but it has mostly to do with memory retention for me; a lot of the studies I read discussed a lack of development or even brain damage in an area that directly affects memory and storage, etc.

  • hey your lucky you atleast can do fith grade i cant do anything above second grade and ultimately it is one of the many things that is ruining my life

  • @themaniusedtob haah well it was obvious in 5th grade I had issues but I still can't do easy adding/subtracting and multiplication/division. Someone asked me yesterday what year my mom was born and I was like, "85"..."I mean, 53!" I screw up shit like that all the time lol

  • You are totally talking to my life what is happening right now. I am getting assistance, but they aren't sufficient. They are giving me minimal time to complete my work, but it's not enough and it causes me great trouble! They are so fucking ignorant! Thank you for sharing.

  • I never knew why I wasnt good in math until i found out about discalculia! People dont understand how embarrasing and hard some simple math is..

  • look up mayan math it will help with your math to see it an count it visualy pass it on to the others please

  • @pizzasuits Don't you love when you finally understand how to do something. after hour and hours of work and then you go to bed proud that you finally got it, then you wake up in the morning and realize you forgot everything you thought you knew?

  • @seharris11 YEah, I definetly understand the memorization part as well. I can put 4 hours into my math homework... agressively, yet still retain ONLY a fraction of what the same 3 people sitting in front of me, messing with their iphones, will retain as they spend like half an hour on the same math homework. I hate this. I dont think I was dropped as a baby,,, but Ive had some BMX crashes and whatever when I was 11-16ish.. nothing major. no car crashes. It might just be the debeloment issues.
