@kadzit all swords are equal in unskilled hands. only when in trained hands will a sword be more efficient. regardless of the weapons origins.

nice...but still i think Polish Hussarian sabre is better ^^

Now I know how one more technique from the form works, the slicing motion upwards with the blade angled to the laft of the player. Thanks to your demonstration where you say Sarah might be smarter than she looks and the saber slids up to the neck.

Sorry I got Stephanie's name wrong. Another comment, I'm not sure how your particular form goes, but in the Yang form which I do, the neck slice is done with the left hand raised up over the head like the four corners from the bare hand form, but with a saber in the right hand. How does this play into the technique?

I'm sure the technique done with the hand up would work just fine. The way I do it, is the way I learned it. Using two hands might make a stronger and firmer slice.

Oh I didn't even notice that both hands were on the saber for the neck slice; all I could tell was that the left hand was not up. Yes certainly that would give extra stability to the slice, however I was wondering if the left hand were up, what would be the purpose of that. I suppose it could be blocking a downward strike from the opponent before moving in with the slice. It just seems a rather daring way of blocking a saber strike.

The left hand is on top of the right hand to give stability and power. It isn't there to block, but I guess it could if needed.
