  • Some harsh words there guys! remember these are only some of the options that can be used. no tecnique works 100% of the time!

    give em' a fucking break!

  • Some of those techniques would not work to escape a good clinch. The elbows should keep your opponent from closing the distance to apply double unders as the big guy did. I think the best way is the first technique shown, however you cant do it with two hands at a time or you're gonna get knocked out. Also, the hands should be placed at the back of the head not the neck. I am very disappointed in this technique.

UTUBE HAS MANY MANY GOOD EXAMPLES OF PUMMELING ,WHICH IS THE MOST FUNDAMENTAL MOVE IN THE CLINCH GAME(SWIMING)..

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO .

GO AND PRACTICE PUMMELING AND STOP ARGUING .

  • @MikeDunn I dont like whats hes teaching personally... because I'm 14 training with adults and swimming doesnt help in a strong clinch. Well, it does but its not efficient to maintain stamina and take fewer knees.

  • i dont like this considering it doesnt work against stronger guys. I'm 14 in an adults muay thai class. swimming doesnt work against a strong clinch, and double under hooks doesnt get you out. i was taught to press your pelvis in (gay but it works) towards ur opponents and get as close as possible, then swim for the dominant clinch position...

  • so the idea with swimming is to get your arms on the inside of the other guys arms and pull him down?

  • Go ahead and learn from the 700 pound wonder. I'll stick to learning from the Thai's, the guys who live and breathe the sport.

  • @yohodiablo - Your arguement is 100% ad hominem, and therefore, bullshit.

  • @MikeDunn I'm not against the technique. But when i learn i want to learn the technique taught by a pro. A pro would'nt be in that wieght class, nor would of ever been. Thus his technique will always be below that level of excellence.
