The Donna Reed Show " Change Partners & Dance" The Stone Family and Jimmy Hawkins

This is a scene from the very first episode filmed in the Donna Reed series ('58-'66).
Its unique for a special reason...The boy Shelley Fabares(Mary Stone) brings home is Jimmy Hawkins(George Haskell) who played Donna Reeds son Tommy Bailey in The classic film "IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE". They must have hit it off pretty well because Jimmy was still doing the series 8 seasons later. Shelley & Jimmy first worked together in 1955 when Jimmy played Tagg Oakley in the "ANNIE OAKLEY" show ('53-'57). Shelley played his girl friend.. Paul Petersen and Jimmy wrote the best selling 1993 book entitled "THE IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE TRIVIA BOOK". Jimmy Hawkins later became a Motion Picture and TV Producer. Author of 5 books on IT's A Wonderful Life.
