Heavens but Pavarotti had a beautiful voice still in 1972! He was already becoming as big as a house here and it was round about now that the voice began changing and became white and colorless due to the huge amount of excess weight he carried. SUCH a pity! Bravissimi!

They enthralled as Callas and Stefano got older I understand the latter respected the former as the maestro/prima and vice-versa the new stars. Always room for preferences but never immature silly rudeness these people are amongst the greatest most talented singers to have ever lived and it's always a privilege to listen and share in modern media. Thanks for posting.

come back Pavarotti & Sutherland....... we miss you...

@Operaddict How can you say that? First off, it's only been about 40 years. Not much in music can change that fast. Second, we have plenty of talent to fill the opera stages throughout the world. Netrebko, Fleming, Villazon, Florez, Kaufmann, Brownlee, Osborn...all amazing singers that have comparable voices to "Pav" and "La Stupenda". Personally I think Pavarotti's acting sucked in this rendition, he stood there like a log.

oh god, please bring Pavarotti and Sutherland back

@minggnim Thanks for sharing your opinion, sorry if I don't care much about it.

@The33eat You've converted me. I don't respect their talent. They suck and you suck for liking them.

@minggnim please do it

@Bill4Banco I totally agree :D

Heaven is all the better for these two incredible people.
May they RIP and spend eternity singing together.
We are so blessed to have been here while they were.
