Part three of a twenty-minute summary of Homer's Iliad, told and illustrated by Carey Harrison, Professor of English at The City University, New York. Prof. Harrison gives an entertaining summary of the story, which serves as a brief study guide for newcomers to this epic. He lives in Woodstock, NY.

  • You don't say a lot about Achilles and his argument with Agamemnon, which strikes me as odd since it is the focus of the entire story.

  • Thank you so much for this.

  • I love this guy and the random facts, but I still don't really know what happened in the story.

  • bob ross

  • Butbutbut, Achilles wasn't the son of Zeus.... :$ He was the son of Peleus(--> a human king) and Thetis(--> one of the 50 daughters of a seagod called Nereus) ........

  • Will you please make more of these!? This was so helpful! I have to teach a unit on the Iliad in a few weeks so this was a great way to explain all the background knowledge.

  • Haha, had no idea that was the origin of the term parthenogenesis.

  • I think I see how Iliad is like WW2 :C Germany is like Troy and US and Britain like the Greeks.

  • Very interesting! It is a good introduction, to provoke reading.

  • Its great, but I think it could be a better explanation. Need more things and specify details.

    Thanks

  • @NinjaDuck1337 totally agree with you
