@comeandfindmex its the iso-value. higher iso means more sensitive film, a little more grain, and shorter exposure times. It should be printed on the roll ' 100 iso ' for instance.

I cocked up loading a 36 exp roll in my OM2n this afternoon. If anyone's interested, a 36 exp film is around 5 1/2 feet long...
-
also what is 400 film and how do you know what number your film is?
-
I can't seem to find any vids for the OM-2n, so is this pretty much the same thing?
-
aah nevermind I got it>< After countless number of observation, I finally found out that there was a small white switch behind the timer lever lol fail Have a nice day~

Hello~ Can you help me? So I have a OM-1 myself and I have no idea how to use the self-timer (I read the manual and that doesn't help...) Also, when you turn the self-timer knob, is it supposed to have a kind of, uhm, resistance/bouncing back/winding clock-wise? because mine doesn't do that. It just kinda...moves freely/smoothly when I turn it. Thank you><

Do you take your camera to a developing shop or do it yourself?

If it's silver-gelatin black and white film, I develop it myself. If it's C-41 or E-6 color, I take it to a lab.

If itss black and white can you still take iit to a lab,
TomJamesPrice 2 years ago
Yes, but usually only if it's a professional lab (otherwise they ship it out)

I recently bought a near mint condition mo1 and learned the basics. But when I tried to detach the lens the second time around i doesn't come off and the view box is dark and reflects my eyes. I think I mounted the lens the wrong way. Is it done???

Sorry it took so long to reply--what happened is you have the mirror locked up. Turn the switch on the body near the prism on the left side of the lens (lens facing you)--not the rewind disengage switch, but the other similar switch.
