I decided to try and get a better spot on the National Mall to view the Inauguration because I didn't like my current standing area. So I decided to separate from my group and went on my solo status off in search for a better area. Luck wasn't on my side, as I learned that it isn't easy to push through a crowd of over two million people. It was literally a nuts to butts type situation, it felt like you were a sheep in a field being ordered to move by the dogs, in this case the dogs were the police on horses. But the experience was one that I will never forget until the day I die. Being there to witness that event was an honor, and a privilege that I am grateful for. Even though I shouldn't of strayed off from the group, I don't really regret it because I got to see more, and I got to see that Fascist George W. Bush depart Washington, D.C. for good when he took off in a Marine helicopter. My journey around D.C. has been a great one. Nine hours wondering the Mall area and the Washington Monument wasn't so bad, except waiting for the Metro to open up again now that was a bitch! But I got on MSNBC and a number of other stations, and I got my picture taken by a photographer which told me that I might see my picture out there one day. By the way let me know if you ever see it out there, I'm wrapped in a big American flag. But what can I say... Change Has Come!
