Yes We Can Song - Michael Campion - Folk Hip Hop Remix: Inspired by Barack Obama - Will.i.am - Jesse Dylan.

I was so inspired by my first video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1R-clc... ), a cover of the tune with just guitar and voice, that I decided to do a fully orchestrated version. I took my improvised melodies from my other video and developed and arranged them. I recorded this track this weekend in my bedroom, on my laptop.

I played guitar, keys, percussion, bass and voice on this song. Just like my other video, its not perfect by any means, but I was completely inspired and thought the message was more important than perfection. I hope you understand where I am coming from, and enjoy the music.

I used iPhoto to create a collage of inspirational photos. I did this whole project with off the shelf, inexpensive tools. Essentially, I spent $0.

I was sent a link tonight (Feb. 2, 2008) from Esthero, who appeared in the original video and song. This project inspired me beyond words. I decided to figure out the guitar chords, print out the lyrics and record this version live, in one take on my laptop. I did this all within an hour or so of seeing the clip for the first time. This was a completely improvised musical performance; I did the best I could.

I am a singer-songwriter from New York; I hope you enjoy my version of this song and can take something away from the intention behind the project. I am going to post more about the song and the chords for anyone looking to learn and perform it.

I think hope is a good thing comparing giving up... and I think it is early to not give Obama a chance to change everything to all what people want... and that is hard for him to decide something since not all people agree about something.

The people where never given a chioce on who to vote for. The mainstream media shows us who they wanted us to vote for nothing more.

What has changed? We traded Iraq for Afganistan. Oh wait we are still in Iraq, and talking about invading Iran. Bush used the bailout and screwed our econemy big time. Obama used the stimulis package that we still havent had the whiplash effect from that one yet.
