View this in HD! This video was taken at the annual Battle of The Bulge Reenactment held each year in Ft. Indiantown Gap, PA the last weekend in January.
I began to shoot video of these events for my father, Alexander "Sparky" Kisse, (now 92) as he is unable to travel to the field to view these battles in person. My father is a veteran of the worst fighting in the ETO and saw action as an infantryman with the 28th Division.
The Germans called the 28th the "Bloody Bucket" division as an observation of the fighting spirit of the men who served in the division and the horrible losses they endured during many months of battle. This year I participated with and shot this video from the perspective of the German infantryman. We do not lose sight of the losses and sacrifice on both sides of this battle through the efforts of the reenactment community. It is with great pleasure and respect to both the reenactment community and my father and his comrades in arms that I dedicate this video for all to view and share. May the memory of these fighting men of all sides be preserved for future generations and this video be viewed to exemplify their bravery and sacrifice.

  • The 101st iran airmobie division these days, succeeding to the role of the1st Cavalry Div. from Vietnam days. It retains the "airborne"title for historic reason but no longer consists of paratroopers.

  • I dont think they let obese people in the SS.

  • @yooperwholigan13 Not the whole battle was snowy. A part of the line was not very snow as you see here.

  • what no snow

  • @JustURAverageGamr Run out of amo, drop, if you see an enemy aiming at you drop, and the list goes on.

  • @thewulfone "Ignoramus". love that word. I am not one, however. If you read all my comments you'll realise i apologised for my grumpy comments and as such have avoided the label of 'Ignoramus'. So there. You big smelly sock.

  • @MultiSpazzo Europeans do it too. Stop being an ignoramus.

  • @MegaTondog its actually fun!

  • @Lio2102 ah, dont mind me, i was feeling particularly grumpy that day, i really ought to keep off youtube in such circumstances. who am i to tell people how to remember these brave souls, and moreover, who am i to tell people how to have fun! fair play to the lot of you! love from Glasgow, Bonny Scotland. ;-D

  • @MultiSpazzo They do not do this to feel like they are in a war, they do this to remember their ancestors that died in WWII (besides the 18-21 year olds, they are here for the former :P)
