Every time I upload a new "me singing" video it's only after I've done a fair amount of rehearsal and nitpicking over details. I wanted to put some of that rehearsal time out there just for the hell of it. I was introduced to this song by my mother, as with most songs and artists I tend to prefer. It's called "I Could Have Been a Sailor" written by Peter Allen :) and performed similarly to the way Maureen McGovern recorded it (ok, so that's the only recording of this song I've heard). It's been impossible to find sheet music online for it so I've had to transpose the chords as best I can. It's going to take me a while to get this one down to the point where I'm happy with it so in the meantime take a look at what a "work in progress" looks like for me.

  • It's a gorgeous song --- but PETER Allen wrote it (not Paul).

  • Ah, thanks thanks, I can't imagine how Paul came out - my fingers must not have been talking to my brain that day.

(Passionate for your music I mean as I am in a wonderful Marriage) and your song re-instilled the True Love I have for my Most Precious Love who is my Precious Wife.
