  • I hear a turbo? Add on? Is that a D-318?

  • @copperheadmarine It's a D318. I put the turbo on it, it's off of a DT466 International

  • hello

can anyone tell me what a pony start is??? never heard that, im from austria in europe!

    thanks

  • @Cassiiir A "pony" is a small gasoline engine- a 15hp opposed twin in this machine- that cranks over the diesel engine to start it. 24v electric systems weren't common back then, and this is the system Cat used to start their diesel powered machines. The pony engine's exhaust pipe runs through the diesel's intake manifold to warm the incoming air and it shares the diesel's coolant as well to warm in up while i's cranking.

  • '57, I think

  • i fucking love your dozer could i bye it off you or mabe come run it lol is sounds grate plz reply

  • well, you know what they say- everything's for sale LOL I'm not really looking to sell it, though- I'm sure it's worth more to me than it would be to anybody else

  • I am interested learning about in both the Pony and Master controls. We think we finally found a D318 engine and hope to proceed with restoration this winter. Thanks.

  • @TexasNorthca Are you asking about pony motor controls or master controls?

  • The demo is great - thanks. I would like to learn more about your machine. When my Dad passed away he left us a virtually identical D6 with the pony etc, but no one seems to be able to tell us much about it. This one is not yet running and has a Hyster Winch and the controls look the same as yours. We plan to restore it. Any chance you could shoot a short clip explaining what each of the levers is for? Thanks again.

  • Phenomenal video...first class!!!

  • Lets see a walk around of the D6.

  • @dieseldave71 How long did it take you to get the turbo rigged up? I have a few spare 3304DITs for my equipment. I have a 225 and a 215 that run thet engine. The other 225 has a 3208. The D4D has a 3304PC . I want to take the turbo off one of the spare DI engines and put it on the D4. The Elbow comming from the turbo to the muffler is available. But the rest of the oil and air lines I have to fabricate. The book says I need to put piston oil jets in the place of the pluggs. But I may just try it

  • @mford739 THE "EXPERT'S" (who ever they are) say there is no chance for Crysler not to bankrupt? Why is that? Because they are so good?

  • geezus is that a d318 turbo'd?
