@rotrage There are different branches of Paganism, just as there are different branches of Christianity. In figuring out which witch is which (*~_^*) and which one calls you most strongly, it's important to learn about the basics of each. About five years into my Wiccan Path, I decided to go back to the beginning with "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Paganism." Check it out; I think that it will help you begin your journey with options. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions!

@rotrage i remeber when i was first starting out. I looked at a lot of different sites and youtube videos, because i'm from a strict christian family so i couldnt get books. I recommend going to google and typing in Wiccan beliefs and (after you sort through the stuff you KNOW isnt right....) there should really be some majorly helpful sites. Also there are many wiccan channels on youtube that can help you on your journey. If you can though getthe books Zumzumfoxy said their really good! WELCOME

@Zumzumfoxy PS, I would definitely get a journal and write down your thoughts on where you're coming from spiritually and/or religious background, and your motivations for wanting to learn the Craft of the Wise. :) Then a while down the road you can look back and see how you've changed and record your spiritual growth.

Inner Temple of Witchcraft- Christopher Penczak

True Magick - Amber K

The Sabbats- McCoy

Incense, OIls & Brews - Scott Cunningham

(Also, Cunningham's Encyclopedias of Magical Herbs, and Crystal, Gem & Metal Magick)

Penczak's book will give you a good idea of the basics, as will Amber K's. The others will help you begin to comprehend some correspondences and whatnot. :)
