  • I went out on the lazy jack and it was worth every cent I'd do it again in a heartbeat! I'm sure every boat is a little diffrent but they all most be great and there are some you go on overnight I think.

  • Great video of, what I'm hoping is a trip in the near future. Loved the music, who and what was it? Very nice. Thanks for the video share!!

  • Thank you very much for this beautiful film. I live in Germany and I read in a book about Camden. You gave me the oportunity to take a look around. Thank you veriy much and best wishes from Germany

  • Magnificent post...I'm lucky to live here =)

  • @mrsuli I'm sorry to break it to you, but it isen't as beautiful as it sounds it happens to have quite the drug problem.

  • I was last summer there.. Camden is beautiful place.. :)

  • That is sad and true, but there was a period in between when at least the charts show it as Negro Island. Some progress was made!

Curtis Island is now an absolutely wonderful public preserve, but there is no dock, and you have to get there yourself by kayak or small boat. Beautiful trails and views, all kept tidy by the volunteers who live in the old light keeper's house.

  • Excellent video! Back when I was going to grade shool and Rockport HS, Rockport had a great summer recreation program for kids. We got to sail on many of the schooners in Camden for the very low price of 1 or 2 dollars for the day.

One time we sailed the Mattie (now Grace Bailey) and the Mercantile to the Maine Maritime Academy and toured the MMA ship.

  • Jack Moore was my science teacher in highschool. Nice guy.
