@nevermore300 I was first introduced to Budgie's music about 5 yrs ago. KSHE plays "Breadfan", "I Ain't No Mountain" & "Sky High Percentage" during its "Klassics" show on Sunday mornings. I will check out their Wiki page for more info. Thanks.

I normally stay far away from any best of, espacially one from a band I really like. I made the mistake of buying a best of Thin Lizzy and it just put me of from buying more of their albums because I would be doubling up on songs. Eventualy I had to give my best so I could hapilly get the proper albums but Budgie albums are seriously hard to find accept for their best of, damn its going to be Lizzy all over again!

Budgie never made it here in America but some FM AOR/classic rock stations play them during retro classic rock shows (namely KSHE 95 in St. Louis & WNCX in Cleveland.) If you're a native to the UK, nevermore300, how successful was Budgie on their native soil? Did any songs become smash hits in the UK?

@bucky468 I first saw BUDGIE live in 1978. They were never quite as popular as some of the other mainstream bands around at that time, but the NWOBHM was kicking in just then and new Rock bands were being formed literally overnight. BUDGIE had a lot of younger rawer competition at the time. I remember being mainly a big JUDAS PRIEST, THIN LIZZY and UFO fan back then (still am). BUDGIE were still touring until last year. Check out their WIKIPEDIA page (BUDGIE BAND) for more information

Great kick-ass song!!

@79Mystic yeah thanks, BUDGIE were a great band and should get more credit than they have done. I personally tend to think that a different band name might perhaps have helped their career a bit more? but a lot of bands then (as now) had strange monikers.
