Long cast with heavy equipment: Shimano Exage 1468 with heavy tip rod + Shimano Torium 30 with 0.52mm DoubleX with 0.9mm leader. Casting a 8oz sinker with a 185m (approx) distance.
Nice, I'm in the process of changing my casting form as I get older (23 right now). I started heaving baits with Daiwa Slosh 20's when I was about 13-14 but I neglected proper form. I have a question if you have time to answer ---- How does the Torium perform with such high RPM's like that? I was thinking of getting the smallest Torium on a 10'6" for casting 4 oz. on light line. Just want to make sure the Torium's are well fitted for high RPM surf casts. Hope to hear from you. - Jake
