After all that CQC training you cant escape from a chocke from behind done by an old man? that is the basics of every cqc training like Krav Maga for instance

I found that choking part stupid also. I used smoke grenades & a gas mask thinking that'd be the REASONABLE thing to do. But no!

Snake is so fucking badass he can steer a missle into the guy who's chokeing him to death, AND NOT GET HURT ANYWAY.

Well, the early games aren't too canonical with the Solid series, although events like outer haven, zanzibar and characters like big boss, etc. are more or less integrated in the MGS saga's storyline.
