  • so depressing these days how there are so many awesome players with grand-slam-winning talent (Baghdatis, Gasquet etc.) but who just struggle with the mental game, injuries etc. As soon as Marcos can settle on a coach, get fit and get a shrink he'll be the champion of the world! (I hope)

  • Wtf u takling about? Marcos is a great guy!

  • 0:07 "not often will we see Federer serve-and-volley"........-.-

  • baghdatis looks like shit

  • @AllGenreMusic true, the very top ranked player´s know how to build on their confidence and the momentum, better than the rest of the field as well..they know how to dig deep and find that self belief in the crucial moments.. it´s amazing how tennis is such a mind teasing sport.

  • baghdatis' revenge is complete at indian wells 2010. took him 2.5 years to do it, but its a sweet win for him over the great man for sure.

  • I've never seen Roger sweating so much

  • They are great players no doubt, but I think they have gotten too old to really have a shot. I mean 24 is a relatively old age to start winning things. Of course he does have the weapons to win a slam, but even if he were to win a slam, I highly doubt he could keep it up and get to world number 1. Under pressure moments against top players, Baghdatis doesn't have a great one-two punch selection, which is his main problem. Doesn't have a huge serve and he is more a feel player.

  • Any top 200 has the weapons to win a slam, which is why every once in a while, we see a very low ranked player make it deep into a Slam, although not as late. What separates the top 200 is mental strength as you said and how consistent they can stay "on" in a match and be positive and continue to go for the shots, and then on top of that be able to get through 7 matches. What makes players such as Federer, Nadal and some of the top 10 is they can get the wins even when they aren't playing great.

  • yeah when you think that the AO final 2006 was something like Fed having an off start which grew into a solid match, but for Baggy it was the best he ever had to offer for 11/2 sets until the pressure overtook him. Fed went on to get 4 masters 3 gs finals with two wins and the TMC...same again the next year....baggy was just on his way to being another Johannson

  • Gasquet will never get close to winning a slam.
