I'm 22 I was diagnosed with bells palsy in october. It lasted for 3 weeks and my face came back to normal, I'd say about 98%. Take b12 vitamins! I saw results 2 days after I took them. They are supposed to help strengthen the nervous system

I was diagnosed with BP four years ago and I never fully recovered. My synkinesis is very bad. I still can't pucker, suck, whistle, kiss and my affected eye waters 24/7. I don't eat in public as everyone thinks I'm winking at them and I lost my job as a promotional model where looks are paramount, unfortunately. I now live as a virtual recluse as I'm too embarrassed to run into someone I used to know...

I got Bell's Palsy on November 1st, 2009. It has now been just over 11 weeks for me. I sometimes became very depressed because I felt that no one else understood how I felt, and because I wanted to look like "me" again. Your video #3 really gave me hope that I can still recover fully. I am much more recovered now than you were at 12 weeks (about 50%). When I saw your final video I realized that even you recovered significantly after a few more months. Thank you very much for posting your videos!

you need to have surgery . your're going to lose your facial muscles if you do not . your doctor should have given you to a specialist. The nerve is basicly being strangled. they will have to make the hole in which the nerve comes out of bigger to relieve the pressure. I am 31 and still suffer the effects of the stuff.
Your UT was very helpful to me. I contracted BP? on 1/16/09 on 1/20/09 I began extreme vertigo - after 3 weeks in the hospital I was slowly stable enough to walk - 7th and 8th nerve damaged At work, I have to "face" a different client ever day & I keep it quiet some seem uncomfortable. My diagnosis is up in the air. Boston's facial nerve center is tied with Harvard. Recovery very slow - feeling more comfortable around people. Sense a humor is up. I like to tell stories - even more. how are you doing now?? any improvement since I last heard from you?
It's great to keep your sense of humor up! This kinda thing happens in life, may as well find the funny parts of it. And, it could be so so much worse. I am so thankful it's just my face that is affected.... it could be my whole body! I am still able to walk, run, go about my daily life, and do the things I love! :)
