How long can you hold your breath? Our government opts for patients with lung diseases suffering needlessly from brain, heart and kidney damage instead of spending our taxes on supplemental oxygen.

I challenge medicaid/medicare rulemakers to wear plastic bags over their heads to see how they function on a blood oxygen saturation of 88%.

  • rich fat cats are sucking us*dry.

  • This is appalling? As a Long term care nurse I find this difficult to stomach. I would not remove/ween O2 from a resident unless they could maintain a bare minimum of 92% oxygen saturation.Low oxygen saturations can cause confusion that is evident in speech and actions. No one desires to be on supplemental oxygen I am deeply sorrowed that you are being starved of what should be such a minimum standard for your existence.

  • Thank you for your comment. It's been very frustrating. My feet are swelling. I wake up with them swollen to the point of dimpling. My Pulmo says everyones o2 stats go down like that. So....after going round and round, it's July 1 and I'm dodging the o2 companies calls to pick up my converter. LOL
