The music video for "Randy Miller (The Randy Miller)" by Eugene, Oregon's Billy Jack, shot sometime around 1993. It's followed by a short live clip, of an instrumental piece featuring Dana Heitman of the Cherry Poppin' Daddies.
Admittedly, I don't know much about Billy Jack, only that they existed up until 1996 and released both a 7" EP and an LP - "Wrestling the Bald-Headed Champ" - on Space Age Bachelor Pad Records. As the comments below explain, this video featured the early BJ line-up of Wayne Shellabarger (bass/vocals), Joe Brooks (drums) and Dave Nagle (guitar), shortly before the addition of vocalist Bruno Bersani and guitarist Dan McClure.
I'd be thrilled if anyone could provide more details about the video, the band or anything at all about Eugene's punk/alternative scene in the '90s.
And, as the credits state, Malcolm Conover of Fatal Erection Records plays "Randy Miller", and the troubled man in the goat mask is none other than Steve Perry of the Cherry Poppin' Daddies.
Wow! This is classic!
The live song at 3:11 is called 'Lottare Contro Il Campione Calvo'
it's off the Billy Jack album 'Wrestling The Bald-Headed Champ'
Great upload!

Hey, I haven't seen that in a long time. Thanks for posting it. We shot that in 1993 actually. possibly 94. The Classic line up featured here has Wayne on bass and vocals. Wayne was the original singer until shortly after this video was made. At that time a different incarnation of Billy Jack took shape featuring the amazing Bruno Bersani (Mooselodge,Osgood Slaughter) on vocals. Shot on Super 8 and VHS, edited at cable access or LCC or something, I don't remember.
take care,
Ted
