How much weight can be attached to the leader with out pulling out? I was wondering about using this to get out toward the middle of the river when they are generating below dams, staying out there and having enough weight to hold a bait or jig down.

Why don't you just drop a mains cable into the lake and net the dead fish? Fishing my ass. Fucking bullshit
PS - Have some stuffed fish on the wall behind you that were not caught using your bullshit day-glo toy.

So lets say that I have a lure that dives 15', but i only have a 4' leader; will the board let my lure dive to the depth, and still work?

Or how they would work with the new superlines or braids

Hello,
We have local salmon fisherman that are towing up to 2.5oz. banana weights behind the SideWinder. I personally use the board for pulling plugs and flies but other anglers continue to amaze me by the weight that they are using behind it. I would say that the max is probably 3oz. If you have any other questions let me know.
Hello,
I personally do not use superlines with the board but I do have customers that are using the new superlines. The biggest problem that you will encounter is the line release becoming worn over time. The bigger lb test braided lines such as 20 or 30 do a lot less damage because their diameter is larger then a 6 or 8# braid. The smaller diameter will tend to tear up the release faster. We do sell replacement releases if a customers wears their release out.
Thank you,
Seth

Any idea how they would troll on the Great Lakes

Hello,
We have several customers and tournament walleye fisherman that are currently using them in the Great Lakes. The SideWinder performs very well in rough water due to the bigwater bill. The biggest key with the SideWinder is to not over load it. Keep in mind that it is small and cannot perform tasks like pulling dipsy divers or leadcore line.
Thank you for the question,
Seth
