  • that is one of my favorite rivers for fall steelhead it is retarded with fish and they hit everything... if you where going to make a vid on steelhead in ak that was a good choice plenty of hookups with fish for filming ...

  • People like Brandon need to calm down. First of all, this takes place in Alaska, a destination not easily reached by many, so don't worry about elbow to elbow if it hasn't been that way already. Ithe fishing pressure isn't all of a sudden going to explode because of one fly fishing film. And if your complaint is because you don't want anybody to find out about Kodiak because you don't want more fishermen where you fish, I find that to be an arrogant and selfish attitude. That river wasn't put t

  • Damn, I'm too old for this technology. I ran out of room. But I left that theater feeling like I had a closeness with those sharks and it made me much more likely to protect them because I know about them. I probably can't afford to go up to Alaska as I am retired but if I see this and learn something about a land I respect hell I might even donate to help the people up there one day as opposed to my community. Exposure can be good and bad but the shark one was the good kind I thought. 4 cents.

  • Just had to throw my hat and 2 cents into the ring after noticing that this trailer was made by LDR Media. I checked out the fly fish film tour this year when it stopped in Long Beach and really enjoyed LDR's shark film. That thing was pretty heavy on conservation and I think the guy in it is really outspoken on shark conservation - Conway is his name.

I'll probably never fish for sharks in my lifetime but seeing them up close and personal and a guy fishing for them fighting to protect them made

  • Wow, that's some original namecalling, bro. I'm wearing my 'STOP Pebble Mine' shirt right now. It's great that Kirk Deeter is a part of that fight. This isn't about that. From what I can tell by this trailer, this film isn't about conservation at all... it seems to be an advertisement. Hopefully, after seeing it in its entirety, I'll be proved wrong. I don't know how you tarpon guys roll, but real steelheaders look after there water and there fish.

  • I knew some douche would come in here and make some douche comment like, "hey bro fishing spots should be earned". Do you even know who Kirk Deeter is??? Only the biggest cog in the wheel that is fighting against The pebble project. I don't know anything about this film but I would surprised if it is an instructional video about how to fish kodiak. The biggest crime in fly fishing is people thinking they are the Buddha of the sport. Sit down, shut up and let the people who make a difference....

  • There's a big difference between making a film about a fishing lifestyle and a film about a fishing place. Trying to combine the two usually does nothing but screw the lifestyle as the masses start to arrive. In my opinion, the 'biggest crime' in fly fishing is exactly what you are doing with this film. Just like good powder turns, fishing spots should be earned, not bought. Hope it was worth it.

  • Is there a release date yet?
