Well guys I had basketball practice in the morning, but I still stayed up. I went outside in the cold with my camera and my tripod, and sat outside for almost an hour until I gave up and realized that my camera didn't have a good enough zoom and the cloud cover would just not allow me to film it. I was able to see it however. Also, I still wanted to make a video so I threw this some what relaxing slide show together before I went back to bed. The lunar eclipse took place on December 21, 2010. There hasn't been one on this date since 1638. That was 372 years ago. It won't happen again until 2094. So, that convinced me even more to go watch it because I probably won't get to see it again. Thanks for watching and remember to subscribe!

A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes behind the earth so that the earth blocks the sun's rays from striking the moon. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle. Hence, there is always a full moon the night of a lunar eclipse. The type and length of an eclipse depend upon the Moon's location relative to its orbital nodes. Unlike a solar eclipse, which can only be viewed from a certain relatively small area of the world, a lunar eclipse may be viewed from anywhere on the night side of the Earth. A lunar eclipse lasts for a few hours, whereas a total solar eclipse lasts for only a few minutes at any given place. Some lunar eclipses have been associated with important historical events
