Venture Australia '90

Venture was a chain of discount department stores operating across Australia.

It was developed by South Australian department store John Martins and was first opened in 1970.

In 1994, the company went bankrupt due to financial difficulties and soon after, it was closed down.

Did they really last till 1994? the 2 stores near me, Box Hill & Forest Hill both shut in early 1991

I'm pretty sure it lasted in Elizabeth until 93-94 and then became Harris Scarfe

Yep they survived until 1994. In South Australia they all eventually became Harris Scarfe's (and many still remain Harris Scarfe to this day).
