@hgilbert I didn't used to get Stewart Lee.Especially in the 90's when he seemed a pretentious pretty boy just out of Cambridge or Oxford. I think age has improved him There is a depth to him. He provokes thought and tweaks our way of looking at issues. Its not all laugh out loud and its slow burn.

OK here is for the people that finds this piece of unfunny or don't "get" it. With Stewart Lee the joke is in between the lines. It's a joke about a joke. Sometimes more, subtle. In this case the joke is about how some people take plagiarism way too seriously. How indignant, upset. But there's more, it spreads out into different types of paranoid plagiarism victims. And jealous comedians. And so on. It's very easy to suddenly not get it - like losing a "state" & failing to see the v funny side.

Stewart, if you're reading this I want you to know that as a result of watching this clip I went out and BOUGHT the DVD for 20 quid. It seemed only fair.
