What utter nonsense!!! Everybody with any sense at all should know that too much praise leaves the child believing that he is never wrong, it is always the other person. And these people are experts? Get a grip.

shewww if i acted like that with any of my kids ..which i have 4 ..they would think im crazy or just plain retarded..or like making fun of them ..yea i dont think soo..not sure that would work ..maybe for some not mine lol

crap. this is sugar coated control over children. eg "great job for packing away your toys". why should you give exaggerated praise for what is normal and expected behaviour. you need ot research the causes of defiancy before offering solutions.
lets stop bubble wrapping our children!!!!!!!

That's all well and good. There's nothing wrong with a little praise now and then, but you don't have go all "squeaky" and look and sound like a fuckin' retard when you're doing it. Futhermore, when I would get defiant as a child, a few good slaps across my butt worked wonders!
