The names Alissa Newline. But everyone calls me Lissa. Me and my mom just moved to Bradfordsville, Kentucky from Los Angeles, California. Mom said it was too populated and she was afraid I would lose all control. I mean really, does she think Im 12? No, Im 17, going to be 18 in December!
Mrs. Newline: *in the car on the way to Bradfordsville High* Dont worry, honey. Youll fit in.
Lissa: Yeah. If its a school for-
Mrs. Newline: No no no no! Dont say it!

Lissa: Love you too, Momma. *to herself when she gets out of the car* Well, here goes, well, everything. *goes into the school and to her locker*
Two girls: Hi!
Lissa: Hey.
Girl 1: Im Zoey Whitley. And this is my step sister,
Girl 2: Whitney. Witley.
Lissa: Hi. Im Alissa Newline. But you can call me Lissa.
Whitney: So do you wanna sit by us at lunch?
Lissa: Sure.*thinks: Who else did this chick think I was gunna sit with?*
AT LUNCH
Lissa: *trying to fit in so she points to a guy and says:* Woo, hes hot.
Zoey: *chokes on her salad*
Lissa: Zoey, you kay?
Zoey: Yes, but if you make your crush on Cameron Gregory public, YOU wont be!
Lissa: Why?
Whitney: Because, his girlfriend of 7 years is Kayla Monroe!
Lissa: Whos Kayla Monroe?
Zoey: *chokes on her salad again*
Lissa: Really, Zoey? Really?
Whitney: Kayla Monroe. Gorgeous. Cant believe you havent heard of her. She moved here from Hollywood. She did photoshoots with Heidi Klum every week and partied with mega celebrities. I think shes even done a few Sports Illustrated covers. You know that Fergie song Glamorous? Yeah, she wrote it about Kayla Monroe. But crush on Cameron, and shell skin you alive.
Lissa: *thinks: Oh, Im not too worried about that* Good to know.
THAT NIGHT AT LIKE 10:30
Whitney: *going for a walk when she passes an alley and sees a figure hunched over* Hello?
Figure: *whips its head around, then runs away at superhuman speed*
Whitney: *sees that the figure was hunched over the dead body of a bleeding girl* OH MY GOD!! *screams and runs away*
THAT MORNING, WHITNEY, ZOEY, AND LISSA ARE WATCHING THE MORNING NEWS IN CURRENT EVENTS CLASS.
Newscaster: In other news, the body of a 16-year-old girl Kentucky, Tessa Mondale, was found in an alley on 7th Street in Bradfordsville, Kentucky. The girl was found at 6:40 this morning by garbage men. The police say they think Mondale died around 10:30 PM. The cause of death has not yet been determined, but because her body was almost completely drained of blood, police think she was mauled by some type of animal. We will keep you posted on this death. Mr. Barnhill *the teacher*: *switches off the TV* Did any of you know Tessa Mondale?
Kayla Monroe: *sobbing, raises her hand* Y-yes, I did. She was my cousin.
Mr. Barnhill: We are so sorry for your loss, Miss Monroe.
Kayla: Mr. Barnhill, may I be excused?
Mr. Barnhill: Yes.
Lissa: *looks sad for Kayla*
Zoey: *whispers to Lissa* Dont feel sorry for her. She probably didnt even know Tessa. She probably just wants sympathy and attention.
Lissa: Okay.
AT LUNCH
Whitney: So, bummer about that girl dying, huh?
Lissa: Yeah. *looks down quickly at her food and starts eating quickly*
Zoey: Hungry there, Lis?
Lissa: Yeah. Famished. *dry heaves silently*
Zoey: *shoots Whitney a message with her eyes saying, Am I the only one who thinks shes acting suspicious?*
Whitney: *whispers* Shes been like this since Current Events.
Lissa: I can hear you guys. I can hear a good octave or two above what any human should be able to hear. *thinks: I hope that didnt sound suspicious*
Zoey: *shoots Whitney a see what I mean look
Whitney: *shrugs*
