  • The plan seems to be to relieve American citizens of every last single spare dollar they have available, then let the roof fall in. Whenever government steps in to correct a "problem", rest assured the worst is over. Witness oil prices September 5, 2008.

  • Bush.

  • Didn't this asshole just say "America doesn't have any problems."

Fuck Dumbya and fuck the oil tycoons. None of the expansion of oil production will result in a drop in oil prices or prices at the gas pump. Only the extremely ignorant could possibly believe the drool from this bastard Dumbya.

  • Opening offshore drilling will provide some relief but not much. We can consume 24% of the world's oil as a nation, offshore drilling would increase the world's supply by only 3%. Drilling for more oil is not a solution as President moron implies here.

  • Crude's heading to a blowoff high. When it tops out you'll never see more expensive oil in your lifetime.

  • Let me say if he was so worried about the american people he would not have taken us to war for his own benefit. "They will pay us back in oil?"We are paying more for it now than ever. And drill in America? Don't we currently do that but sell it all to BP& then buy it back. If we could have the 1/3 oil in reserves released to us prices would drop. He only cares about his wallet and thoes of his family. Cuz Their "OIL MEN". I am scared for our country. He has really raped us. How will we recover.

  • bush invaded iraq for oil and he wants to drill is HE THIS DUMB?HES BEEN MEETING WITH

CHEVRON AND TEXACO BEHIND OUR BACKS IDIOT

BRING BACK THE LIVES YOU KILLED ON 9-11

  • the republicans and democrats bicker on purpose. if they wanted, they could drop the price of oil to below $50 a barrel in 30 days. regulate the market, and do offshore drilling on our coast. its not this or that, its both. the oil companies pay them off to do nothing so they can reap the rewards off the backs of americans and the world.

  • We havent seen anything yet. $20 a gallon is just right around the corner. World demand is growing EXPONENTIALLY! If you don't know what exponential means, please look it up.

World population continues to grow exponentially. We are in the midst of a world wide crisis.

The hippies were right about everything in the sixties: we should have listened to them then.

  • What an idiotic statment. Are the Chinese gonna stop driving? The Indians? The Russians? You know NOTHING about world demand.
