Roger Gracie's Father Mauricao Gomes talks about his son's '09 World Absolute BJJ Title

Mauricao Gomes is the father of World Absolute Champion Roger Gracie. Mauricao is one of the six Black Belts from the legendary Rolls Gracie and was instrumental in teaching and developing his son's skills. This video was taped right after Roger's win at the '09 Worlds.

Kid may I ask you a question...if you sweep from guard and mount you opponent for three seconds do you get the points for sweep and mount, or just sweep? and what about a sweep from half guard, does it score just like from full guard?

@nwjiujitsu If you sweep and end up mounted and control the position you get 6 points 2 for the sweep and 4 for the mount. Sweeps count the same whether they start from the half-guard or the full guard
