The best fishing is north of Phuket. I think the islands are a great dive spot, very unspolied called Similan, I think. You have all the tropical big game species there, but it is very expensive and a long sail. Pretty much you have to charter for a trip there, but well worth it. Thailand is fun no matter what.

At the time it was about £17, today with the exchange rate and inflation it will cost about £25. The best place to fish is Phuket.
