"Little Soul" goes to charity

Little Soul was written by Tom from Oswald (http://oswaldtheband.com/), as his means of coping with the pain and emotions of miscarriage, and was only later recorded when he was able to sing it for purely personal reasons, and not to be part of the Oswald catalogue. With this in mind, Tom has donated the song to global miscarriage and baby loss charities: allowing the charity to use the song on their website as well as encouraging fans to donate money to the charity when downloading the track.

Miscarriage is constantly linked to the pain of a woman losing her unborn, yet rarely is thought to have any effect on the male, the father-to-be no longer. Having fatherhood taken away from Tom was a nightmare come true, and this nightmare has been brought to light through the heartfelt words of Little Soul.

Almost last year my baby sister was lost in the womb. She was too young for us to know if she would be my sister but my family believed she would have been. We call her Zoe. I was thinking about her a few weeks ago and when I heard this song, and with the help of my family, I was able to calm down and stop crying. This song really helped me :)

This song will always be on my blog. My husband found this song the day we found out our little one died (July 22, 2010) We are now expecting June 13, 2011. Two days before we found out we were expecting the one we lost. I still cannot get through this song without crying. I'm forever grateful there is a song just so beautiful for such a horrible thing to experience. I live my life through music. Thank you for this song.
