  • just saying if the confederate had an equal number of men we would have won this war

  • @MrTJ219 You are wrong in assuming that Lee was against the rights of the common man because he was a member of the "American Aristocracy". Your class envy is showing. Who put together the Declaration of Independance, the Bill of Rights and the entire Constitution? It was members of the aristocracy that you have been taught to hate simply because they had money and positon. Who was Jefferson? Do you know his "petigree"? Who was Madison, Washington...nearly all of them? Don't juge by position.

  • @KaIanari Agree

  • @GermanConquistador08 I'm sure the fact that it wasn't really true to the novel played a part as well, but its sad when even professional movie critics can't view films for what they are, and constantly hold them to their own expectations and what and how they think a films should be.

  • @Coolz444 Because hollywood elitists scoff at historical films unless a big name actor is in it or its too commit to the history it present.

  • @KaIanari They had Lee. That man was worth ten brigades.

  • i wonder why this movie got so many bad reviews

  • @xXsabbath180Xx He was never the leader or founder as many think he was but he did join the kkk in 1866 or 1867 but I don't think it was because he had anything against blacks but because he really wanted to keep fighting because he was the type of general that would fight to the end and not accept that the South had lost. He also had blacks that fought with him and were treated like all other soldiers.

  • No doubt about it, boys: war is hell

  • @AUG351 wasn't he also the leader of the KKK?

  • @Boelcke1919 I wish they made Last Full Measure from the third book but they never did due to bad reviews of Gods and Generals for stupid reasons and biased media but there is going to be a HBO series called To Appomattox.

  • @xXsabbath180Xx Look up Nathan Beford Forrest, not saying Jackson isn't a bad ass but Nathan Beford Forrest if one of the toughest generals of the Civil War. He was a briliant cavalry general and he personally killed over 30 men. One instance at the Battle of Shiloh he charged a group of Federals by himself and was serrounded but fought his way out with saber and pistol and used one soldier as a human shield.
