My gran lived in Palmers Road and her garden backed onto the sideings on the aproach to Arnos Grove. I spent many a happy evening as a young child wathing for the Back-EMF flashes from the tube trains as they left Arnos Grove heading for Bounds Green. The house and gardens are gone now, demolished to make way for the high rise flats they were so keen to build in the late 60's early 70's.
