It's amazing what all the other companies go through to invent the perfect agitator for the best turn over, when the simplest design does just as good as the other designs.

I like the sweep of this agitator compared with the nervous jerk-jerk-jerk-jerk of more contemporary machines!

I like the sound they make too and i like how they wash so smooth.My mom bought a new maytag in 1970 and about 5 years after we had it the dern timer went out.We used it for 3 or 4 years manually advancing the timer till we decided to let it go.it was a good machine but the time just wasn't any good.Excelent video!

I only get to spend two weeks a year in front of one of these. It's a super stack with the white power fin agitator. You don't know how much I look forward to my trip to Georgia. That's where the washer is.

It's cheaper to build motors without resistors. That and the companies could care less about your clothes.

I miss the slower wider swag of the older top loaders like this one. How come with the newer ones the agitator speed is so fast. It's not good for the clothes
