  • Glad he went to a good home and you guys did a great job with him. Was he tame at all?

  • Yes, we really took great care of him. When he got bigger though, only my boyfriend was strong enough to handle him. This Lizard was VERY strong and back then when we had him we did not realize how hard they could be to tame especially this particular kind of monitor lizard. So, no he never did get tame while we had him. The guy we gave him to said he was able to tame him though, but he was a professional lizard handler. So, I am really happy we found a good home for him!

  • how old is lou?

very nice viv set-up by the way..wish i had space for a lizard that big but i already squeeze 3 big vivs in my tiny bedroom....

  • Thanks! My boyfriend built the enclosure especially for him. I think he was a little over a year old when we filmed this. We ended up having to give him away because he was getting so big. The guy that we gave him to was like Crocodile Dundee though and an exotic Veterinarian, so he is in good hands.

  • @milla0225 Oh im in the same boat you were in. We have a water monitor ( the ones people say are SO tame) and hes a little nazi! He bites, whips, all that good stuff. My girlfriend asked me the other day "So when he gets big, is he going to try to kll us?" I looked her in the eyes with a slightly concerned expression and replied "Yes". lol

We also have a big Black Throat that is the very definition of Dog Tame. All he seems to want out of life is a warm lap and to be hand fed minnows:)

  • nice vid man. check out my nile

  • nice nile but try using tong when it gets to the size of mine you don't want it going for you hand

  • dont let it get in the habit of jumping towerds your fingers

  • nice setup

  • How many gallons can you fit in their?

  • Hahahaha. Silly lizard. I giggled.
