Minnesota's newest U.S. Senator, Al Franken, addressed supporters on the heels of the historic Minnesota State Supreme Court ruling declaring him the winner in the hotly-contested November election.
"We believe that the middle class is the engine of our economy," said Franken. He stressed issues he wants to tackle in Washington, such as renewable energy, education, and cutting health care costs.
Franken expressed gratitude to his wife Franni, organized labor, the DFL, volunteers and staff, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, and the late Sen. Paul Wellstone.

By the way, Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar are awesome.
See, here in Minnesota, we elect honest representation, not corrupt, rich politicians like where you must be from. I'd like to know what great leaders you've elected in your state!
You are an idiot! You obviously know nothing about Minnesota, moron!
You say, "pretty soon... be at the verge of collapse" (should be "on the verge"). If you knew any facts, you'd know Minnesota is one of the most prosperous states.
Annually, Minnesota has some of the highest national rankings in terms of "highest household income", "lowest poverty", "most educated" and "healthiest". Also, Minnesota has a non-profit health insurance system.
OMG an intelligent person in the US Senate. How unreal, he actually earned the position instead of buying it. Minnesota can be proud unlike the people of Texas who have to hang their heads in shame at the two rich goobers who don't represent us.

You've simply declared your own ignorance!
