This is crafty robbery. They are taking away the quarter meters so even if you are only parking for 5-10 minutes you have to pay $5/per hour.
This is government theft from the citizens. That's what this is. Crafty robbery.

First of all the revenue from parking metters and yes tickets keep the property taxies, state taxies down.
I hope the revenue is marked road upkeep.
So pedestrian are not paying to subsidize you and me by other taxies.
One of original reason for the parking metter was to move you along so the store could get more flow of people in and out of the store.

The store owner did not build parking for his customers and relied on the local gov to do so.
What you do is this demand the cost of parking from the store when you are going pay if they do not give you a discount leave every thing there wave and say by.
