  • Were this an original Tucker and you modified it like this, I'd say you were a madman. But good job on making a streetable facsimile that retains the integrity of the original.

  • Thats beautiful...I know its a replica but if I had the money for one I'd lose the big wheels and make it look stock, chrome hubcaps and fat whitewalls

  • was that NOS i saw?

  • @bigbeefyrazorguy This is a replica built out of fiber glass. No real 48 sedans were hurt. Rob Ida did one hell of a job.

  • @bigbeefyrazorguy They made ZERO TUCKER TORPEDOS. The car was a concept, NEVER BUILT. What WAS Built is the SEDAN, the TUCKER 48.

  • Nobody can touch Chip Foose, not even close. But this recreation is truly awsome!

  • @bigbeefyrazorguy it's a replica

  • @scabeba Well good to know that it is not an actual Tucker but on that note why would I do research on a car that instantly pissed me off to see it. I'll give it to this "Rob Ida" guy for doing a good job of getting the body right. But he has still ruined it, the only thing that makes the car unique is the body, past that it is the same as any other ghettofied piece of junk on the street.

  • @bigbeefyrazorguy

Before you "beef" off, you might want to get your facts straight. Rob Ida is a fabricator/builder in the same class as Chip Foose. This Tucker is a complete re-creation fabricated from Tucker blueprints. Rob Ida had the blessing of Preston Tucker's grandson to do this.

  • @bigbeefyrazorguy If you'd do some research into this car, you'd find that this is NOT an original Tucker! It's a recreation. I agree that it would be heinous for anyone to turn a genuine '48 Tucker into a street rod, but again, they recreated the Tucker body to create this car. I personally think it looks killer!
