“There was that girl that fainted.” Joe said, laughing at the thought.
“WHAT? And I missed that?” Nick asked, clearly disappointed.
“Oh, you’re nice Nicholas.” Kevin scolded his younger brother.
“Come on. Tell me right now, with a straight face, that you don’t wish you saw that?”
Kevin tried, but got to “I don’t...” and started laughing. The fact that Joe was lying down eating cheese-its off his stomach probably had something to do with it, but who knows.
“Joe, mom would kill you if she saw you doing that.” Nick said, trying not to laugh at how ridiculous Joe looked.
“Mom’s not here right now, is she?”
“No....”
“So I guess I’m going to remain living for now.” Joe popped another cheese-it into his mouth, Kevin laughed again.
“So... man...what’s up with Katie?” Joe asked Kevin in-between chewing.
“She’s coming to dinner tonight.”
“Oh really?” Joe raised one eyebrow and smiled.
“Yes Joseph, and you are going to behave like the nineteen year-old boy that you are... right?”
“Maybee...” Joe smiled mischievously.
“JOSEPH.”
“Fineee. But that’s no fun.” he said, grabbing another handful of crackers and dumping them on his toned abs.
“So are you excited to finally get to have a full on conversation with this girl, Kev?” Nick asked, ignoring Joe.
“Yeah, I mean we talked for a little in the store. But it wasn’t a life changing conversation.” Kevin looked at Joe. “And it was interrupted when Joe shoved a CD in my face.”
“My bad.” Joe managed to say without food falling out of his mouth.
“Joe, you are going to an ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET in like an hour, why are you eating now?” Nick asked, still overly excited about the night’s upcoming meal.
“I’ll still be hungry.” He replied.
“I’m sure you will. But I have to go get changed. I suggest you do the same so we’re not late for dinner.” Kevin stood and left his brothers to get ready. Knowing Joe, it would take him three days just to get up and put his shirt back on, never mind pick out an entire outfit. Kevin got back to his room and took his shirt and shorts off and threw them in the corner. We walked over to the closet where he had hung up his outfit earlier. Taking the black skinny jeans off their hanger, he stepped into them and pulled them up to his waist. He then grabbed a white undershirt out of the dresser and pulled it on over his head. He put his toned arms through the white collared shirt and buttoned all of the buttons, except the top three. His chest hair was barely visible. He them put his black vest on and wrapped his favorite scarf loosely around his neck. Kevin then went into the bathroom and combed his hair, and applied his favorite cologne. He grabbed his phone off his bed, seventy dollars out of his wallet, and left the room to meet his parents and wait for Katie.
