2011 Leadville 100 MTB Trail Race Powerline Descent Downhill Mountain Bike Race Across The Sky

The fabled Powerline descent in the 2011 running of the Leadville Trail MTB 100 Race in Leadville Colorado. Mountain Bike Race Across the Sky. Using a Titanium 29er with SID29 RCT3 suspension fork. Drivetrain was 2x10 SRAM XX, Lightning Carbon cranks, Stans 29er Gold tubeless wheelset with Maxxis 2.1 Aspens. I drank Perpetuem mixed with Gatorade for the whole race but pre-race two bottles of Herbalife Prolong for carb loading. I got the Prolong from the Herbalife basecamp at the pre-race expo. Great guys and decent product. If I had more time with the Prolong I may have used it during the event. @BOULDERGEEK I ride a Titanium 29er with 100mm Rockshox SID29 RCT3 fork. I descended Columbine at 37 to 38 mph...I got my training from riding with guys in Pisgah NC who use 140 to 160mm full suspension bikes.

Good job, I'm sure you had to pay for that descent before hand, amazing how patient you were I would of been yelling at people to get out of the way. Were their gators in that creek or something, looked like they were avoiding it like the plague. Way show those sissy's how to descend on a hart tail, amazing their lack of skill.
