Obama Surprises Tourists At Lincoln Memorial

President Obama stopped by the Lincoln Memorial to remind visitors that it was open today because he and congress had reached a budget agreement that kept the government from shutting down. He also greets a school group he mentioned in his budget address. The group was worried that the looming government shut down would also shut down their DC trip.

@06livefast You think things in America are bad now, JUST wait for whoever replaces Obama, because his successor whether it is 2012 or even 2016, will officially put the US here, into an official banana republic. We're *ALMOST* there now and if we get another corporate politician in there when Obama is out ( which as we know since the corps run everything in this country anyway ) the US will fall into the category of an official 3rd world nation.

The term comes from a speech made by Winston Churchill, ''Third world country'' indicates that the country is neither in the capitalist, nor the communist camp. The first world being the capitalist world and the second the communist world. The US will always be a first world country by default.

The USA is not invincible, powers rise and fall and it was built on a continuing necessity of growth over borrowing over growth with non-existent money...but now there is no more money. It's not real, just figures in a computer and all it needs is the public to no longer be able to buy and contribute to the growth for it to collapse. The Roman Empire was built on conquering and slavery, it whittled away when it could grow no more. Third World can happen.
