Part 1. Creative Person, John Burton

Creative Person -- John Burton. This 30 minute film biography of Glass artist and Philosopher John Burton was the first color film commissioned by KCET-TV Los Angeles in 1965. It won the first two Los Angeles area Emmys for KCET for John Burton, and for the production by George Van Valkenburg.

John Burton's work is displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, as well as many private collections. His home and much of his work was destroyed by Hurricane Iniki in Kauai, Hawaii.
