Guys, we have worse weather and road conditions in Europe sometimes. Go to Austria, Switzerland or southern Germany and deliver right in the middle of the ALP Mountains. No chance without chains. Driving a DAF XF520 automatic BTW. Keep the wheels on the road friends.

@MrStevensam when you hit a snow storm say hey Canuck get up here and lead this convoy and the Canadian drivers will come up to the front of the trucks and lead in the snow that is what happens when you go through the mountians make sure you say your prayers first and if you drive down into this area where he is this is some of the best driving you will do down here he has it fairly easy some places the roads close and your in the middle of the hiway parked can't move litterally!

I live in Sarnia and been through that area like a million times. I also drive truck...have driven atutomatics lots as well. To get out of that...you put the truckin manual shift mode and use the lowest gear..diff locks on....and DONT hammer on it...just let it walk it self out. But that is also the best reason to have a set of chains...never know when you might need them. I remember that storm..wicked!!
