@annedrodgyness: I'm really sorry American comedy is not up to your impeccable standard of perfection. I apologize profusely for the pain and anguish it must cause you. Is there anything else culturally you care to inform me about that America is not achieving quite like you wish? Drama? Music? I've got an idea, why don't you boycott America! Yeah, you can start by refusing to use Youtube and Google until we Americans sort out this comedy thing for you. And you can ditch your I-Pod too!

@tomthefunky I never suggested that Long Island was not pulling its weight. I said the US wasn't. Even so, your list contains 4 people who are long since past their peak and a director who makes deeply unoriginal films aimed at teenagers. I digress. I just feel American comedy is rather poor of late and so saw a "glass houses" element to your comment about New Zealand.
