Doylestown Central Park - Doylestown Township - Bucks County, PA
Doylestown Central Park is located on Wells Road adjacent to the Township Municipal Complex. The park has a hiking and nature trail, a pond, community center, pavilions & picnic tables with BBQ pits.
Within the 108 acres is variety of recreational/sports facilities; 2 full basketball courts; 5 tennis courts; a 3-acre multipurpose field; 3 soccer/hockey fields. There appears to be ample parking.
During the 1990s, "Kids Castle" play area (photo) was conceived and built primarily through volunteer community effort. * Nearby Doylestown Lea - a residential neighborhood of single family homes [across from park off Wells Road] Doylestown Station - a townhome subdivision bordering the northern park boundary. Original site plans called for walking-path access to the park from the neighborhood. At of this writing, we're unsure if that has been completed. http://www.classharlan.com/doylestown/doylestowncentralpark.htm
